In more than twenty years of dental and oral surgery practice, I've encountered a wide range of problems - from the most mundane to the most incredible. I have a clear picture of the pain and problems (and fears) that my patients come to me with.
I want to show you how my experience can help you turn fears and pain into a positive dental experience. I have created Practident Dental Clinic with this in mind and would like to guide you through how we put this into practice.
I am Dr Zsuzsanna Pesti, founder and medical director of Practident Dental Clinic. I graduated from the (world-class) Faculty of Dentistry of Semmelweis University in 1995 and in 2005 I obtained a degree in Medical Economics from the University of West Hungary (now University of Sopron), which gave me the basis for my management and economic skills specialised in healthcare institutions.
Since 1997 I have been working at the XVI District Medical Clinic and since 2010 I have also been practicing as an oral surgeon after passing the specialist examination. After twenty-two years in practice, I still believe that self-training and self-improvement are essential to provide you and your patients with a high quality dental experience:
I regularly participate in prestigious training courses at home and abroad
I speak Spanish, German, English, and I have also learned Chinese to cater for the recent surge in patients of Chinese origin
After a long and thorough professional preparation, in 2019 I founded Practident Dental Clinic in Budapest, in the XVI district.
Our philosophy, our mission
I consider human factors to be of paramount importance in Practident's dental practice. The work with the patient is immediately preceded by a personal consultation, during which we discuss previous procedures and experiences and then draw up a treatment plan.
My aim is to provide dental treatment with less pain and less stress, so I use modern, fast-acting anaesthetics with minimal side effects, but I will also ask you to raise your hand if you feel any pain. I will guide you through the procedure, explaining what will happen and how.
I am aware that in today's world you do not have time to wait 40 minutes for a dental treatment, so I will see you without waiting time. Furthermore, I know from experience that a humanely designed practice has a positive impact on the people who come to see me.

The surgery
The location couldn't have been any other than the XVI district, as I grew up here and have been ordering here for 22 years. I also find the calm atmosphere and the proximity to nature ideal. When you enter the office, you are greeted by a clean, pleasant Scandinavian design interior, which has been worked on for months by a professional team of interior designers and decorators.
It was a professional priority to be able to map the diagnosis locally and quickly, which is why the radiological equipment was equipped with the latest dental standards: panoramic and intraoral X-rays, 3D CT.

Aesthetic dentistry
Caries are treated with an aesthetic filling that is invisible to the eye. In our practice, we perform LED light and laser teeth whitening. All treatments come with a complimentary whitening splint and whitening gel, so you can maintain your radiant smile at home.
Our practice uses BisGMA-free dental materials. This is important because BisGMA is found in resin-based fillings, similar to PET bottles, and some of it is released in saliva and affects the endocrine system.
Dental radiology
Our clinic has an extensive radiological background: - Panoramic X-ray: radiological images of the lower and upper jaw - Intraoral X-ray: close-ups of 1-2 teeth - CBCT: 3D images of both jaws, to determine bone supply, hidden inflammations, root canal runs.
Dental hygiene
Our qualified dental hygienist will remove your tartar and discolouration using an ultrasonic depurator and sandblaster. He will also give you personalised dental hygiene advice to help you keep your teeth clean.
Dental prosthetics
Tooth gaps are filled with crowns and bridges, restoring both aesthetics and function. Restorations come in a variety of materials. Before deciding which tooth replacement to choose, please read the properties of these materials!
Metal-ceramic: a dental restoration made of cast metal covered with porcelain fired on a cast metal frame, which has high strength but does not provide adequate aesthetics in the cervical region.
Porcelain veneers fired on a zirconium frame: porcelain veneers fired on a frame in a similar colour to the tooth, using the cad/cam technique.
Procera bridge/crown: impressions of the prepared teeth are converted into a 3D model using a special scanner, which is then digitally scanned to produce a highly accurate and aesthetic restoration. It is the most durable and aesthetically pleasing restoration of the original dentition.
Oral surgery
The following procedures are all part of the broad spectrum of oral surgery:
removal of invaded roots
the removal of wisdom teeth that are blocked in the anterior cavity
surgical removal of inflammation at the root of the tooth
surgical treatment of mucosal lesions
closure of an open sinus cavity
the amount of bone needed to place the implants
Paradontology
In the treatment of periodontal disease, the pockets that have formed next to the teeth are cleaned with a laser, the root surface of the tooth is smoothed, and the laser energy is used to remove inflamed tissue and bacteria. The procedure is used to induce the tissues to regenerate as quickly as possible.
implantology
Implantology is the state-of-the-art solution for replacing missing teeth. We can provide missing teeth with artificial roots, avoiding the need to grind down adjacent teeth, or create a fixed prosthesis instead of a removable one.
orthodontics
Orthodontics can now be used to create fantastic smile makeovers in children and adults alike. In childhood we use removable and functional trainers, while from teenage onwards we use fixed appliances and the invisible braces that are popular today.
root canal treatment
Root canal treatment can even save teeth that look like they can't be saved. We treat deep caries affecting the blood vessels and nerves of the teeth. After mechanical, chemical and laser cleaning of the root system, we can fill the teeth with root canal fillings - eliminating the need to remove teeth.
Arcesztétika
Fogorvosként, amikor mosolyokat újítunk, a fogak esztétikáján túl az arc egészének esztétikáját is figyelembe vesszük. Így merült fel az igény arra, hogy a fogászati kezeléseken túl arcesztétikai beavatkozásokkal is segítsük pácienseinket.
